Axya Medical's technology for ultrasonic welding of sutures and polymers for surgical applications represents a significant innovation over traditional suturing techniques. Axya Medical's core technology, the AxyaLoop®, a suture loop that is secured via ultrasonic energy, is deployed using the Axya Knotless Fixation System. The system is comprised of three components: an ultrasonic generator, a resterilizable handpiece and a per-patient disposable fixation sleeve.

AxyaLoop Suture Implants

AxyaLoop suture implants offer the ultimate in security, strength and efficiency when combined with ultrasonically welded, no-slip, no-profile AxyaLoops. Axya's implants have patented Easy Glide eyelets that allow for effortless suture sliding and minimizes suture damage. All implants have drivers with laser-marked depth indicators, laser-marked eyelet indicators for precise directional placement of the suture, and suture protection tabs to prevent damage during insertion.
